Women and Money by Suze Orman

On today's Oprah Winfrey Show, Oprah's guest was Suze Orman. They discussed Suze's Save Yourself Plan. Every woman needs to take care of herself first. To have a plan and the finances to face any situation. The plan is detailed in Suze's book, Women and Money .

The book is available to download for free. BUT, YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THE eBOOK IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS. The deadline on the website is 8:00 pm ET, June 27, 2008. But, I think Oprah said 5:00 pm ET, June 28th. Either way, don't delay.

Download the book here: Women and Money.

When the book opens in Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can save a copy.

The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale

I ran across this list from Norman Vincent Peale. It was published in the St. Albert the Great Church bulletin on June 22, 2008. And it reminded me of his book: The Power of Positive Thinking.

Ten Guidelines for Dealing with People
  1. Learn to remember names. A person's name is very important to him or her.
  2. Be a comfortable person so there is not strain in being around you.
  3. Learn to be easygoing so things won't bother you.
  4. Don't be egotistical; don't give the impression that you know it all.
  5. Learn to be interesting so people will want to be with you and get something stimulating from you.
  6. Get the "scratchy" elements out of your personality.
  7. Drain off your grievances. Honestly try to heal every misunderstanding you have.
  8. Work at liking people until you learn to do so naturally. Sure, everyone has faults; overlook them.
  9. Never miss a chance to say "congratulations" or to give support at a difficult time.
  10. Develop a spiritual depth in yourself so you have something to pass on to the people you know. Learn how to share this strength with others. Learn how to share this strength with others.

Planet Earth - The Complete BBC Series

I started watching Planet Earth as it aired on TV. I was fascinated with all the animals and places that I've never seen in person. I now have a new respect for nature and survival of the fittest. The landscapes were breathtaking - Everything from the mountains, to the deserts to the ocean. Planet Earth is timeless and a good addition to a DVD library.
